BILLIONAIRE PETER THIEL INVESTS IN BITCOIN AGAIN. IN 2022, HE EARNED $1.8 BILLION IN CRYPTO

Billionaire Peter Thiel has once again invested his funds in Bitcoin. Throughout 2022, he earned $1.8 billion in cryptocurrency. His Founders Fund invested $200 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2023, according to Reuters, citing sources close to the businessman. Thiel's investment instincts played in his favor again as cryptocurrency prices significantly increased.

Details regarding the proportion of cryptocurrency acquisitions are unknown. It is only known that the fund started buying bitcoins last summer when their value was below $30,000 and continued to increase its positions. As of February 12, the Bitcoin price on the Binance exchange exceeded $50,000.

Peter Thiel had previously successfully invested in Bitcoin since 2014, selling all his assets just before the cryptocurrency market crash in the spring of 2022, earning $1.8 billion.

Founders Fund, managing Thiel's assets exceeding $11 billion, holds shares in over 100 companies, including SpaceX. In 2023, the businessman also joined a group of investors who acquired shares in Elon Musk's Neuralink.
